Star Shri Individual Care Insurance is a product that provides for regular hospitalization benefits like any other medical insurance policy under section 1.
More over, this product also provides for payment of lump-sum in the event of death, including death due to natural causes , under section 2.
Coverage under Section 1 is provided by Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited and

Age Limits
- Entry age – 18 years to 50 years (as per last birth day) (under Section 1 dependent children from 5 months can be covered only if any one of their parents are covered).
- Renewals upto 60 years
- After 60 years,
- For health cover he can migrate to any other health policy offered by the Star and continuity benefits will be given.
- For life cover no renewal beyond 60 years.

Star Shri Family care Insurance is a policy which is offered jointly by Star Health and Allied Insurance Co. Ltd., and Shriram Life Insurance Co. Ltd., The special feature of this policy is it offers Life and Health cover under a single product. It provides for regular hospitalization benefits like any other medical insurance policy on floater basis under section 1 and provides for payment of lump-sum in the event of death, including death due to natural causes, under section2.
The Coverage under life section is available only for one earning member who is also the proposer and not for the entire family. Coverage under Section 1 is provided by Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited . Coverage under Section 2 is provided by Shriram Life Insurance Co. Ltd.,
