Overseas Travel Policy (Individual)

STAR Health offers STAR Travel Protect Insurance to protect against any kind of risk while traveling, whether they are merely inconvenient - like losing baggage or something serious - like a health problem.

  • Any person normally residing in India aged between 6 months to 80 years traveling outside India on business or holiday can take this individual insurance . Coverage beyond 80 years shall be considered on a case-to-case basis. NOTE: The benefits and exclusions mentioned herein are only an outline of the individual travel insurance policy. Coverage for persons of 75 years and above shall be subject to special terms and conditions.
Is it necessary to undergo medical tests?
  • Not normally required. However, if the medical history as revealed in the proposal is adverse and for persons who are above 60 years - ECG, Fasting & Postprandial Blood Sugar, Cholesterol Profile and Urine Strip Test Plan reports are required to be submitted along with the proposal. The upper age limit for medical tests may be relaxed on a case-to-case basis.

Eligibility for the Family Insurance Plan 
 Any person normally residing in India and their families - aged between 6 months and 60 years, traveling abroad on holiday can avail this family travel insurance
 Family consists of insured person, spouse and two dependent children (Children below 18 years) 
 Additional children can be covered on payment of extra premium at 25% additional premium per child up to a maximum of two additional children
